Who is Morale Entertainment?
The following individuals developed the concept of Morale Entertainment and have managed all aspects of the company to date.
Michael R. Whalen: Morale Entertainment grew directly out of Mr. Whalen’s vision to provide quality entertainment to troops far from home. He brings to Morale 35 years of experience in the entertainment business, where he functioned in a variety of roles from rigger to producer. He also brings an expertise in mechanical and electrical systems. Mr. Whalen has managed performance venues for such notable musical acts as The Who, Heart, Supertramp and Diana Ross. He has produced television shows for all three major U.S. networks; ABC, CBS and NBC. He previously owned and operated a major cable television operation. Most recently, Mr. Whalen was in Beijing, China serving as venue manager for the Olympic Broadcasting Network and in London setting the stage for the broadcast of the 2012 Olympic Games.
Thomas M. Lee: Mr. Lee currently serves as Director of Business Development for Monogram Systems, an aerospace company owned by Zodiac Aerospace of France. He co-founded Inflight ATI, Inc., a company that developed Inflight Automated Teller Machines. He was also a founder of Aero-design Technology, Inc., inventor of waste management technology of passenger airlines. Previously, Mr. Lee worked for Chubb & Son and R.C. Dick Geothermal Corporation. Mr. Lee serves on the Board of Alumni Affairs of Tulane University and on the Board of Directors of Snowball Express, the Charity for the children of our fallen Military heroes. He also is a member of Business Executives for National Security (BENS), World Airline Entertainment Association, International Flight Catering Association and Inflight Food Service Association. Mr. Lee holds over 20 U.S. and international patents.
Mark Parkman: Mr. Parkman currently serves as Vice President of Operations of International Sports Broadcasting and as consultant for Olympic Broadcasting Service. Over the last 17 years, he has been associated with nearly every major international sporting event. For his work on the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Games, Mr. Parkman received an EMMY from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Mr. Parkman previously provided his talents to Turner Broadcasting; Home Depot, in that company’s Olympic Job Opportunities Program and for Cohn & Wolfe Public Relations.
The Honorable Judson Hill: Mr. Hill serves as a Georgia State Senator and is Vice Chairman of the Georgia Senate Republican Caucus. He also s currently a partner in a real estate development and investment firm and is a practicing attorney. Senator Hill co-authored the book “Enhancing Your Business Value” in 2002. He served in the Reagan Administration as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia and as a Presidential Appointee at the United States Department of State, Agency for International Development. Senator Hill has deep experience in politics, leading numerous state and local campaigns, serving on the White House Advance Team and on the Reagan-Bush ’84 campaign.
